Car Towed

Friday, I was driving to work when my car just suddenly started slowing down. My radio and lights were still on. I call my co-worker Abe to come and see if he can help me. We couldn't see any visual problems so he helped me move my car to a safer area. This safer area was down hill. He reverses down this hill and into a residential street in Eastlake. Yup I was bummed. I called my insurance because they have road side assistance. Apparently their phone people are in a different state and they couldn't locate me on their GPS. Of coarse I had to be stuck in a brand new establishment so it wasn't on GPS or mapquest.com yet. Even when my co-worker tried to find me, he couldn't locate me through his GPS. So I was bummed once again. Abe drove us to work. When I arrived at work I started trying to find someone with AAA. No luck but Alma, the receptionist, had somewhat of a AAA thing but from her phone provider (I don't know it was weird for me too). Janelle, my other co-worker, gladly "volunteered" (she didn't have a choice, I told her to) to drive me back to my car to wait for the tow company. Pictures courtesy of her, I don't bring my camera everywhere...hence the not blogging everyday thing.

While waiting, I saw this ambulance type thing...

Well it wasn't an ambulance, it was mobile grooming. I think it is just an undercover for dog euthanasia, that's why its an ambulance.

I took off my In4mation license plate holder so it wouldn't break while my car was being hauled onto the tow truck...i should have took my whole license off...when my car was being taken off of the tow truck, because of my stupid license plate my whole front bumper almost came off.

Broken glass from the previous person that was parked here...I am not sure this is a good place for cars...bad things happen.

Tow truck guy was lost. I was on the corner of Mount Miguel and some other street and so was the truck driver...but we weren't. I guess there was another same cross street down the street. How lame is that, the tow guy was lost.

...waiting...

Don't know what to tell you...

Finally...Rapid towing my ass.

This wasn't the first time my car got towed...just hated seeing it get towed again.

My back look a little to close to the ground.

Just enough space...good thing I don't have a fancy exhaust.

Loaded and ready to go...I went with the truck driver to Hanna's parents house because her dad here is my mechanic. Last time this happened, I needed a new fuel pressure regulator. Her dad checked my starter, checked to see if I was getting any spark, checked my gas line...Gas was coming out but only a little bit. He then shook my car and heard no liquid sloshing around inside. So we went to the gas station and got gas. Put the gas in my car. It turns out that I just ran out of gas...funny story...There were no signs of my car being out of gas. My fuel gage was at a line above empty and none of my lights on my dash turned on to notify me that my car was thirsty. Now I know how it feels to run out of gas.

HEALTH WARNING!!!

Attention everyone of the world...or whoever reads my blog...DO NOT BUY CHEAP HAIR BANDS!!! Ok, so apparently Southern China is producing hair bands made from used condoms. These used condoms hold sexually transmitted diseases (STD). Be careful when you buy hair ties...and because I have a daughter, there will only be the best hair ties for her...Gucci hair ties.

BEIJING (AFP) - Used condoms are being recycled into hair bands in southern China threatening to spread sexually-transmittable diseases they were originally meant to prevent, state media reported Tuesday

In the latest example of potentially harmful Chinese-made products, rubber hair bands have been found in local markets and beauty salons in Dongguan and Guangzhou cities in southern Guangdong province, China Daily newspaper said..

'These cheap and colorful rubber bands and hair ties sell well ...... Threatening the health of local people,' it said.
Despite being recycled, the hair bands could still contain bacteria and viruses, it said.

'People could be infected with AIDS, (genital) warts or other diseases if they hold the rubber bands or strings in their mouths while waving their hair into plaits or buns,' the paper quoted a local dermatologist who gave only his surname, Dong, as saying. A bag of ten of the recycled bands sells for just 25 s en (three cents), much cheaper than others on the market, accounting for their popularity, the paper said.

A government official was quoted as saying recycling condoms was illegal. China 's manufacturing industry has been repeatedly tarnished this year by a string of scandals involving shoddy or dangerous goods made for both domestic and foreign markets.

In response, it launched a public relations blitz this summer aimed at playing up efforts to strengthen monitoring systems.

Check your kids hair bands and make sure they do not put them in their mouth while trying to plait or tie their hair

Browsing the world wide web, I came across a few (I thought was pretty funny) pictures, maybe you will enjoy them too...if anyone out there reads this blog.

Pharrell has one...Where is yours?

Brooklyn Machine Works released a bike last year that was only limited to 10.

Does your BMX do this? Mr. Williams does.

The Factory of Cheese

Last night, Hanna took Marie and I to dinner. It was either Bento Noodles or Cheesecake Factory. There is no argument on this one. If given the option of anything compared to Cheesecake Factory...choose Cheesecake Factory. I just want to let everyone know about my stomach being the most satisfied ever. I usually get the herb crusted fillet of salmon (Fresh Salmon with a Delicious Lemon Sauce, Asparagus
and Mashed Potatoes)
under the seafood section for $19.95. Hanna was taking awhile to decide so I was scrolling through the menu. At the bottom of the seafood section of the menu, they had Factory Combinations. This combination includes 2 items that you choose from a list and mashed potatoes. Your choices are I believe: this shrimp dish, chicken madeira, herb crusted salmon, and steak diane. This sounded like a better deal because it was $20.95. For a dollar more I get to try something else. My choice was the salmon of coarse and the steak diane. The steak was so delicious. It melts in your mouth and the flavoring was exceptional. It was like forth of July in my mouth with the the explosion of flavor from my entire meal. A bite of salmon with mashed potatoes, then a bite of steak with mashed potatoes. You have completely two different sauces that when combined make a mega sauce. A lemon sauce from the salmon and a steak sauce from the steak. Also...I highly recommend the chicken madeira. That is what Hanna got and I took a bite of that and soooooo good.
p.s. for an appetizer, get the fried macaroni and cheese. You have never had anything like this before. Forget T.G.I.Fridays fried mac and cheese, it just doesn't compare. It's a major league baseball size ball of macaroni and cheese and cream cheese, deep fried, comes with 4, all on top on a marinara sauce. I found out about these balls of deliciousness from Jay(5&aDime) when we went to LA for some cheesecake factory.
Yes, I believe in love at first sight. The love for Cheesecake Factory.
